About the numbers
Every figure comes from the USDA's Census of Agriculture, which counts every place that produced and sold, or normally would have sold, at least $1,000 of agricultural products during the year. Where a county figure would reveal a single farm's data, USDA withholds it, and this site never fills the gap. How to read the data.
